Board of Directors
Janaka Kumarasinghe is a Human Resources Professional with 20 years of local and foreign experience in leading organisations.
A Fellow of IPM Sri Lanka, Janaka earned his BCom from the University of Colombo and MSc in Asia Pacific HRM from the National University of Singapore. Also he holds the National Diploma in Personnel Management (IPM), CMA (Australia) membership and CM (SLIM) membership. As a pioneer Outward Bound Trainer he was involved in reintroducing the popular training method after understudying it in Malaysia through a Government scholarship in 1988.
Janaka is a Past President of IPM Sri Lanka and Asia Pacific Federation of Human Resources Management (APFHRM).
He is a senior visiting lecturer in HRM at the Universities of Moratuwa and Colombo in their MBA programmes. He was awarded the prestigious Gold Medal for the outstanding contribution to the field of HRM by IPM in 2009, and HR Leadership Awards at the Global HR Excellence Awards, Mumbai in 2009 and 2010. Also he has been awarded the Most Influential 100 Global HR Professionals award at the World HRD Congress 2016 in Mumbai.
Janaka serves Kent Ridge as the Executive Director.
Dr. Malitha Wijesundara
Dr. Wijesundara obtained his bachelors degree in Electronic Engineering with honours from University of Warwick, United Kingdom and his PhD from Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering of National University of Singapore. His research interests are in peer- to-peer networks, networked computing and storage, virtualisation and e-learning.
He was a consultant for a number of Singapore based companies and local conglomerates, before joining Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT) as a senior lecturer. He is currently the Dean – Education and Student Experience at the Institute.
Dr. Wijesundara is a board member of Information Systems Audit and Control Association (Sri Lanka chapter) and a consultant for Ministry of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and National Apprentice and Industrial Training Authority (NAITA).
He also served, in the Committee on International Affairs and Research of Institute of Personnel Management, prior to joining Kent Ridge board of directors as the Academic Advocate.
